When something is refused
What the usual refusals mean and what to do about each one.
A refusal is recorded like anything else, with a reason. These are the ones you are most likely to meet.
The usual ones
- The allowance for this month is used up. It resets on the 1st, or you can move to a larger plan.
- The website is not connected. Finish connecting it, or reconnect it if the password was changed.
- WordPress no longer accepts the saved password. The application password was deleted or changed. Make a new one and reconnect.
- A security plugin blocked us. Allow STARICON through your firewall or security plugin, then try again.
- This needs the STARICON plugin. SEO fields cannot be read or written without it.
- The connected WordPress account is not allowed to do that. The account you connected does not have the permission the request needs.
Where to look
Everything that happened is in the Activity page of your account, refusals included, with the reason beside each one. If something stopped working on a particular day, that is where to find out what.
You are never charged for a refusal. Only work that actually succeeded counts against your allowance.
